Best Volvo 4 door sedan for $4500

Hello group
I have been searching for a good Volvo sedan for a long time and I need some help before I pull the trigger. I really just need a car that works and is safe for a little one on the way. I have been spending most of my time searching for a good 240 but lately I have seeing many newer models for the same price. What models should I avoid? Is it better to spend $4000 on a 240 that has been totally gone through or is it better to get a newer model.


And the car I have really been eyeing is a 240 on ebay for $3,500
