I need to replace the strut top mounts (bearings) on a '90 wagon. The last time I went through that exercise, the aftermarket strut mounts I found were so miserable that I ended up reinstalling the original mounts which had about 120 kmi. on them. One aftermarket mount was obviously inferior, with a light duty bearing and bushed ID. The KYB's I chose to install lasted about 6,000 miles before their bonded rubber started to separate. That scared me so badly that I again installed the original, well-used mounts.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket strut mount which is of good quality and significantly cheaper than the authentic Volvo item.
