Tire size for specific vintage IPD wheel

Hi,

Awhile back I purchased some Volvo wheels from Ebay. I went to Wal-Mart today to check on fitment, but they didn't know what size tire I need.

The wheels are vintage 1970s IPD wheels that I think where originally sold for the 140 series. They are made of aluminum and measure 15" in diameter. Across the top of the wheel, it measures 6". These are not Minilite, Superlite, Panasport, or American Racing wheels. They have a very plain look to them and feature eight spokes. The holes between the spokes have a triangular shape. You can see a picture of one of them on page 61 of IPDs 2007 Vintage Catalog beside the ad for the Oxo wheel brush.

I can't see any numbers stamped on the wheels. Does anyone know the exact dimension of tire I need for these rims? Would the tires from the original OEM steel wheels work?

Many thanks!
