AC Service Manifold Gauges. What about the air in the hoses? 900

When connecting an AC Service Manifold Gauge and open the valves wouldn't the air in the hoses go into the system? I am concern about all the air bubbles and moisture descriptions that can cause problems, so what about the air that goes in when using the service manifold. If the manifold has a sight glass this mean the refrigerant goes right through the manifold from high side to low side, so one can see the stage of the refrigerant, so pushing all the air in the hoses into the system. What do you think? Thanks for opinions.
