What makes a high compression b18? 120-130

I have a '68 I'm parting out. By the type code, it should have a high compression b18 in it. Not that it's that big of deal, but what really made them high compression? Were they running different pistons? Longer rods? Decked block? Shaved head?

(most of the '68 specific stuff is already gone, i.e knee pad, seat belts, steering wheel, flasher switch, brake MC....)

Thanks
Chris
