to those who helped with advice-thanks 700

I had a problem (actually ongoing at this message date)with my 89 740 not starting after changing the timing belt..

the hints that were posted here really helped. The advice cut down on the repair time overall..
so thanks y'all!

The RPM sensor was but one item that caused problems, plus cleaning the TB and the intakes, checking the AMM...
the TB was so fouled I wonder how the car ran before all this happened..

now however, the engine starts but won't run continually...I'm thinking it's the distributor timing, but it's set on the mark I made at the start of this oddessy (?)

what do you think?
