Condenser blower 200

The fan in front of the radiator kept running after the engine was turned off. Reviewing diagrams in the Bentley manual, I believe it is the condenser blower. Any ideas on why it won't turn off? I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
