My daughters '92 240 has a strange water leak on the passenger side front.It is definately from the evaporator as it only occurs when the a/c is on. I have looked at it several times and am completely frustrated as to how to stop it. The evap does drain through the small pipe through the transmission tunnel as I have taken it off and it is clean, as well as the evap looks good above it. The top pipe coming to the evap starts to drip after a few minutes and it did have a small area that was not insulated . I used some foam insulation but my daughter reports it seemed to collect the water and then dump it out at once.It seems to be coming from above. There are some old posts that I have seen and read but no one seems to know how to stop it. I don't want the car to rust out. If anyone has some advice I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you.
