Let my boneheadedness be a lesson for all. 200 1991

Well, after a week of vacation I went out to start the 240. Nuthin' I still haven't replaced the check valve as discussed a couple of weeks ago and I thought, could it be? no, it makes no sense... I mean maybe it would take a little longer to start but...

Well, its been raining like crazy here in texas so I figure that's got to have something to do with it. So I pull the #1 plug. Its wet with fuel so for sure it is not the check valve. I hook it up the wire and ground good to the chassie and have to wife crank it. no spark... panic! I've already replaced the power stage don't tell me it is the ecu...

I decided to check to see if the ground on the power stage is wet and the whole plug just falls off... soaked in rain... I never hooked up the cable right. I dry it off real good hook it all back up and she starts up right away...

I am still going to do the check valve, we've got a long hot summer ahead since I've got the new one there is no reason not to. Anyway...

On a side note, my wife decided she has fallen back in love with our 72 beetle and wants to fix it up instead of getting another 240...
