Hello,

I'm having a problem with my 1982 240GL. It started to run rough on me going down the road and then died. Couldn't crank it over and had to get a jump start then it ran OK for a while and died again. After putting the battery on a charger over night it ran fine and the battery has held a charge. I have had both the battery and alternator checked. Battery had 410 Cold Crank Amps, Alternator was putting out 70 amps but technician said the brushes were pretty worn.

Any ideas as to the problem? I had an issue earlier that turned out to be broken wire and at the time the mechanic said the wiring was very brittle. I'm wondering if I am having another wiring problem.

Also does anyone know of a good source for wiring harnesses for my Volvo.
