Well I've been signed up for all of 20 minutes and already have another question....
I've been thinking about changing my engine wiring harness to try to get some of the electrical gremlins out and to give me piece of mind concerning engine compartment fires.
I have a 1986 240GL.
My question is, are all wiring harnesses created equal?
I've seen a few of the harnesses on Ebay for a good price and most of them do say that they are the upgraded harness that I need. Most of them will only say they are for a 1986 - 1983 Volvo 240 and that has me concerned if it will really work on my car.
It seems to me that something like an engine wiring harness would have to be wired for a specific automobile i.e. will have all of the connectors for any and all options on the vehicle. Maybe Volvo harnesses come prewired for everything and I'm mistaken.
I'd like to purchase one of these in the very near future so if someone can give me a heads up on what I need to look for and what questions to ask some of these sellers, I would really appreciate it.
I'll try not to be too much of a pain on here but I'm sure I will have quite a few questions as I try to get my car up to speed.
