Clutch (hydralic) adjustment possible? 900 1998

Recently inherited a 940 turbo wagon with 90K on the clock. Do not like the clutch but see no way of adjusting. Do not have shifting problems either hot or cold, but the clutch pedal must be fully pushed to the mechanical stop before changing and transmission engages as soon as you have moved the clutch pedal - I think this could be referred as a "low" clutch? Not comfortable to drive and completely unlike my 740 (with 400K on the clock)wagon. Can this be adjusted or do I need to replace clutch?
