B230 cam seal - a rant 900 1991

Here's a little tidbit of info. The front cam seal for a B230 is different to that of the 5 cylinder 850/S70/V70 etc engines!!! This might be obvious to us but not to my Volvo dealer. I asked for a crankshaft and camshaft seals for my 940. The conversation went something like this:

Me: I need crank and cam seals for a 91 940 with B230 engine.

Parts guy: Is that a twin cam?

Me: No. It's a single cam.

Brief pause while parts guy checks computer.
Parts guy: You said a twin cam didn't you?

Me: No. I said SINGLE CAM.

I bought the parts thinking I had the right ones and took them along with the cylinder head to the workshop. I rang the shop that's doing the cylinder head work yesterday to check on how it's going and they told me the cam seal is wrong - it's too small.
So I ring Volvo again, check the part number and they've given me a cam seal for a 5 cylinder. AAAARRRRGGGHH!!!!!! The crank seal is the right one though. Just why I would want a 5 cylinder cam seal when they gave me a B230 crank seal is beyond me. Fortunately, they're going to send the shop the right seal at no charge.
Sorry, just needed to rant.
Brad
