Now that I have the carpet out I can see that the OE sound foam is not in bad shape, although I'd like less road and engine noise getting into the cabin. To that end I ordered some 1.6 mm sound deadening material.
If the OE foam is in good shape and attached well do you think I should just go over it?
Will a 1.6 mm thickness fit under the bench and back of the back seat of a sedan?
Other than doors, hood, trunk and firewall are there other places to focus on?
Since I already have the interior apart I'd like to do as much as I can to get this as quiet as I can.
