Putting Stock 240 Alloy Wheels on my 92 740 - Spacers needed on Front-HELP 700 1992

I have a 1992 740 turbo wagon. I want to put Volvo 240-260 OEM alloy wheels on the car. These are the 5 Indented spoke design which are 15 x 6 Hollander # 70148 with a bolt pattern of 5 x 4.25.

My 1992 has the stock alloys which are the 20 spoke 15 x 6 wheels.

The 240-260 wheels I have referred to fit fine on the rear of my 1992 740, however the fronts have a clearance problem with the calipers. It is obvious that I need to introduce a spacer in the front.

My question is the offset difference between my 20 spoke stock wheels and the 240 stock OEM alloy wheels.
My question is the minimum thickness of spacer that I will need which I believe would be 1/4".
(I have seen many available on ebay with various stud configuration holes and in both 1/4" and 5/16" thickness)
I believe that 1/4" will work and allow me to have full engagement of the nut and the stud. I would prefer not to have to change to longer studs for obvious reasons.

Any and all info will be helpful

Gary
