Air flow changes when I accelerate 1994 945 900

The A/C air flow is directed away from the dash vents to the floor vents when I accelerate!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to why that is happening? Really weird! BTY, when I let off on the gas... the air flow is returned to the dash vents again.
