My SRS light was on so I checked to see what code it was, turned out to be 1-2-7 from socket 5 of Unit B. I cleared it and the light stays off. OK, so far so good.
While I was there I checked my other sockets, the three in Unit A were clear but I pulled code 1-2-2 from socket 2 of Unit B, which is supposed to be the cruise control socket. My cruise control works fine (just used it this morning) and there are no check engine lights or anything like that on my dash, so I tried to clear it but it wouldn't clear. I pushed the button for > 5 seconds but the LED wouldn’t light up again. I pushed the button for > 5 seconds several times in a row, still wouldn’t light up again and the code remains.
So I'm checking the FAQ and I see 1-2-2 as a code for "Signal missing or faulty to/from air temperature sensor" for Regina Fuel Injection Fault Codes and I'm thinking "do I have a regina fuel injection system?" Then again, why would this be on the cruise control socket?
Anyway, any idea of what's going on? Like I said, my cruise control is working fine – do you think there really is a problem with an air sensor?
Thanks for any insight.
