The original owner of my 67 wagon upgraded the seat belt with a nice pair of retractable inertia-reel belts. He included a second set for me in the parts horde, and while I was going to put them in my rear of the wagon, I figured it'd be better to install them in the new daily-driver sedan.
Installation appears straightforward with the belt receiver anchor point replacing that loop-thing on the drive tunnel, and the belts being bolted to the shoulder anchor and a floor anchor. Trouble is, there's no good place to install the inertial reel "pod." In my wagon, they were bolted midway up the B pillar, but there's no real B pillar in a 130. I was thinking that they'd be unobtrusive installed even with the rear seat, but there's a lot of trim to remove and I'm not sure if there's anything to anchor to behind that trim.
Is there anything wrong with securing the pods and the floor end of the belts to the same bolt at floor level? What have some you guys done with seatbelt upgrades to your 130s?
