i have a problem with my 740 wagon brake lights/ tail light. Initially, all of the brake lights stopped working but the two taillights remained functional. I replaced the red bulb failure relay and I regained the right brake light and center brake light but the third left tail light is now out and the brake light doesn't function on that side either. If I swap out the new relay with the old relay, I go back to the old problem of two working tail lights with no brake lights. Additionally, one day after opening up the old relay and just looking at it then putting the cover back on, I regained fully functioning tail and brake lights but this was short lived and lasted only about a day. The bulb failure light indicates that the lights are out so at least that is functioning correctly. Any thoughts? Do i have two faulty red relays? Is there a problem with the socket in the relay board? Any help would be much appreciated because I can't continue to drive like this and i'd hate to take it to a volvo dealer to have them do a five dollar repair for 200. thanks in advance!
