I changed my main fuel pump and put a new strainer on my old in-tank pump in January, because the car quit running. I have not driven the car much afterward, because I am in the process of changing the title from salvage to rebuilt. My question is is how can I tell if my in-tank pump is bad, other that listening. I know for a fact that the outer pump is good, because when I replaced it the car ran again. I cannot hear the in-tank buzz, maybe I am listening wrong but I am pretty sure I am not. I am familiar with the k jetronic from my BMW 320i so I know what the priming buzz sounds like. I just don't want to burn up the out of tank pump, because the car is about to get retitled and be my girlfriends daily driver. I have no money at ALL so ...if i replace the in tank pump it must be because it is 100% bad for sure. I ran a voltmeter on the in tank fuse and it read 0.0, I put the meter on the outer pump fuse and it read 12.? volts. Any help greatly appreciated
