Hello guys,
Unfortunately today, my '75 244 GL had to take one for me..a car in front of me in fairly heavy traffic stopped suddenly, and there was no way I could stop in time. Their car had no damage, amazingly. However, the same can't be said for my car. The bumper seems to be fine, and the hood seems ok, but the grill, left headlight assembly, left turn signal assembly, and left fender (moderately damaged) are not in good shape at all. Everything mechanical seems fine, except I cannot open the hood; i was able to drive the car home fine. However, this leads me to a dilemma; should I try to fix it (this was a car I bought for a temporarily daily driver [no longer an issue, I am buying an S70 tommorow for daily purposes) or should I attempt to sell it for parts or resto? If anyone is interested, the car is in East TN. B20F with '73 higher capacity block (with only 70k approx on it, body has 185k), 4 speed stick w/ OD, general good condition other than the accident and it will need a very good fuel line cleanout, fuel tank flush, and perhaps a a fuel prepump.
So, the question is, fix or sell? If you're interested, I can send pictures..the car will need to be transported if taken any long distance.
