Im in the process of installing a subwoofer and amp in the trunk of my 240 sedan.
My cd reciever in the dash unfortunetlly has horrible controls for turning my sub on and off (I have to navigate through about 5 menus )
So I would like to wire a simple switch to go into the dash that will turn the sub woofer on and off.
My problem is I am not positive on how to wire it.
This is my idea so far:
The switch is a single toggle switch, but it has two circuits it controls. On one circuit I will have the remote line from the cd reciever coming in and then back out to the amp. (Would a switch in the remote line allow me to turn the amp on and off?) And on the second circuit of the toggle switch I will have a red LED light that comes on when the amp is swtiched on. This is just for cosmetic purposes. I will get the led power by splicing into the 12v line that powers my cd reciever.
So does this sound like if it will work and if not how can I wire it correctly?
I will try and get a schematic of the wire plan im talking about posted shortly.
