960 Dipstick 900

I have now had two dipsticks break in the last 2 months one each on my 94 940 and now on my 98 V90. I atteempted to repair the V90 dipstick and after cleaning the "loop" portion with brake cleaner and lightly sanding the "break" in the plastic, I attempted a repair with JB Weld. It appeared to have worked but the fix only lasted about 3 days or so. Is there a universal "cut to size" generic replacement?

I fear that the one I order from the dealer will be this newer updated version that requires replacement of the dipstick tube as well. The other option is a guy selling replacements on ebay from Taiwan for $25.

Any advice here is appreciated.
