Rubbing when using rear turbo sway bar 700

Hello All,

I installed a rear sway bar from a 740T onto my 1989 744GL and I noticed that the new 19mm bar rubs against the lower bolt used to hold the rear diff. plate in place. I noticed that the donor car had a pressed metal plate and mine has a cast plate and was wondering if this is causing a clearance issue or have I just mis-installed the bar.

As a worst case fix, can I just remove the one offending bolt and pray for no oil leaks from the differential? The noise and vibration on hard braking is driving me nuts.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Tim
