It's Alive! 444-544 1958


Heh! Fired up the B-16 today! It ran just long enough to destroy the lower radiator hose (must have been even worse/more brittle than I thought it was)and dump the coolant! Here is the carb side of the engine in it's current incarnation.






As you can see (maybe) it has an alternator now (3 wire GM) and the black box on the firewall is the solid state regulator. Just above that is a heat sink with only a resistor for the coil currently. More resistors will be going on this (type and amount yet to be determined). The clutch suprised me by being free after all this time as did the amount of oil pressure! I am pretty sure that this is the first time this engine has turned under its own power in 35 years - remarkable cars really!
