I'm thinking about buying this car--the price is very right--but I am not too sure what could be the possible causes of its weird behavior. Here is the description of the problem from the seller: "The car stalls when you press the brake, it started after long distances, stalling at stoplights, and now does it erratically, sometimes after short distances or when pulling out of the driveway and braking etc. It does the same thing with the idle, sometimes it will idle fine, other times dies after a minute or two, still others immediately upon braking."

If I am understanding them correctly, what would cause the car to stall when the brake pedal is pressed?
