Power Steering Pump Problem 1992 245 200

Hi all,

I was driving the freeway today when I heard a squeal and my steering became stiff. At idle the belt slips and squeals, when accelerating or driving the pump seems to be working off and on with the wheel still stiff at times. There's plenty of P/S fluid and the P/S and A/C belts are tight. 1992 245, 180K miles, regular maintenance since new. Any ideas? Thanks
