hello brickers,

i'm just wondering what the "longest serving main fuel pump" is out there.

mine has developed the classis "buzz" when below 1/2 tank, so i will be changing the in-tank very soon. because i'm going to change the fuel filter as well, i'm half-considering swapping the main pump for a new one as well just to avoid a future tow.

the car is a 1990 sedan, so the main pump is about 17 years old. is it time to do some "preventative" maintenance or should i wait for the 20th anniversary?
