This dang 91 940 SE Turbo starts when it decides to. Ha, I think it has a mind of its own. In Phoenix, Arizona it will start early of a morning drive for about 30 minutes at freeway speeds (65 - 70 mph), return and park in the driveway then 5 minutes later it will not start. When running, it runs great - no problems, does not stall, does not have an engine miss, does not act as if it has an electrical problem, does not act as if it has a fuel problem. Nor does any codes show up, service engine light does not come on.
It has new power control module, cps, fuel pump module, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter.
As it has an in tank and an external fuel pump, could one of them be bad? Could it be a vapor lock?
Sometimes it will restart the same day, othertimes the next morning. If this was a science fiction novel I would swear the dang car is laughing at me!
I am 75 yrs old, not a mechanic but retired computer programmer so any advise would be appreciated. My local Volvo mechanic cannot find the problem.
