considering a well-used 245 DL - what to look for? 200

I didn't see a sticky for this, so pardon me if it has been covered.

I have owned an '80 264 GLE, an '83 245 Diesel, an '89 760 GLE, and a '98 V70. I currently have a 2006 V70 2.5t, and am considering a (much) older 245 to use as a beater/commuter.

It's been a while since I have driven a 2XX, and I have forgotten what to look for when buying used. The car I am considering is an '82 245 DL, auto tranny, 270K miles. Owner says the master brake cylinder is on its way and brake performance shows it, and that the transmission leaks a little. I haven't driven or examined it yet, but the asking price is $700.

What to look out for, and how much should I expect to be putting into it over a 2-3 year time? I expect to put ~10K/year on it with mostly mild highway driving.
