My Volvo is a 92 940GL model. I have put over 176K miles on it. Recently, I experienced some intermittent problems with the transmission and starting (ignition)the vehicle.
When I was driving, suddenly the transmission went out. The car just won't go. The engine was running. As the car slow down to a certain speed, occasionally, the transmission will engage again. Most of the time, the car just stopped. Is this what we called "slip transmission?" Is it time to rebuid or replace the transmission?
When the vehicle was parked under the sun or making very short trips, I had a hard time to start the engine. Any suggestion for these problems?
