1992 940 gl bumper struts front 900

I bought a 1992 940 Gl, that has mild wreakage on left front, the front bumper strut(shock asorber) is compressed would like to replace, any body know how to remove?, I've removed th most obvious bolts and it moves up and down but it feels like it goes in quite a bit.
