Finally getting near the end of putting the head back on the 242 Turbo (removed to replace broken exhaust studs).
Hoping to replace the injector seals, I put a wrench to the nut which connects the fuel tubing to the top of the injector. Unfortunately the metal holder did not hold the injector from turning, and the tubing twisted apart.
So first, anyone have a good source of the fuel lines and tubing which runs from the fuel distributor to the injector.? Can just the metal tubing be replaced?
I used the instructions from Bentley. The injector is bolted to the head, but it seems to be no guarentee that the injector will not turn. Any methods to separate the tubing from the injector that will be successful?
Wondering whether I should bother replacing the seals if I risk breaking more lines.
