I Joined the Blower Motor Replacement Club! 200

Folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm very happy to have finished getting my 240 back together after a sucessful blower motor replacement! Yippee! I took me a week of working on it an hour or so a night. I ended up having trouble getting the new fan motor to tightly secure in place because the screws got stripped out of the soft plastic. This caused the fan blades to contact the plastic shields (not good). I encourage people to leave their front seats in place and to not disconnect any of their console switches. It is way more comfortable sitting on the seats than kneeling and crawling around inside without them. I think I could now do the replacement in a fraction of the time. I hope I never have to do this job again. Not a fun job and a very strange design from Volvo. I can't imagin replacing the heater core. Yuck!

Best wishes to all. If I can do this job, anyone can do it. I worked slowly and labeled everything and used zip lock baggies to keep all the screws and fasteners with the right components. I also can't imagine doing this job in the middle of winter.
