Made a trailing arm bushing tool (56k be aware) 200

Mostly following the instructions of Neal Wilcer (http://www-ese.fnal.gov/People/wilcer/volvo_trailing_arm_bushing_tool.htm).

here's the tool assembled.

thre are a few changes. for one thing, i can't find the 2" NPT plugs from Home Depot. so i went with McMaster. following the "don't buy cast iron" advise, i chose a NPTF square head plug for the pusher and a hex plug for the receiver end.

there was a bit of machining involved. good thing i have access to some mills and lathes. tools were dull but whatever...

Part A

Part B

Part C

Part E

total material cost about 50 bucks--most prices went up, and the two replacement parts for the plugs are pricey. it's fun to do this regardless.

gonna head out to junkyard to test these soon.
