Another obscure 164 question. exhaust options for manifold 140-160 1971

My exhaust manifold has a crack in it, apparently somewhat common. I also have a complete exhaust system to be installed, but should I upgrade the manifold (or is it possible) before installing the new exhaust, perhaps a new performance header?

It's a 71 164 4spd that I like, even though no one else seems to appreciate these wonderfully torquey cars.

Perhaps I should just get it welded? A temporary weld didn't hold (hence the name temporary)

All suggestions and advice appreciated!
