How many fluid I need buy for my M46+OD? 200 1986

How many fluid I need buy for my M46+OD?

My 86 245 has Manual transmission(M46) with overdrive(OD),milage is around 135K .

The manual said:
---------------------------------------------------->
Manual transmission with overdrive, M46

Capacity: 2.4 US qts.

Fluid type: Automatic Transmission Fluid Type F or G(FLM)

Replace: at 600-1,200 mile (1,000-2,000 km) service only.

Transmission and overdrive are lubricated by the same oil.
When draining transmission oil, also remove cover on the overdrive to drain oil remaining there. Also clean the overdrive strainer

The oil level should be up to the level/filler plug.
When replacing transmission oil, drain the oil immediately after driving, while it is still hot, by removing the drain plug.
<-----------------------------------------------------

It said "Capacity: 2.4 US qts.".

My question is : This 2.4 US qts is all for M46+OD OR it just for M46 itself?

It seems there is no fill plug on the OD.

So, What I need to do are:
Drain the M46,
remove OD's cover and clean the overdrive strainer.
Then install the M46's drain plug and OD's cover.
Then fill 2.4(?) qts fluid from M46's fill plug thread.
Install fill plug.

I did not do this before and could some one clarify this for me?

The OD have some proble. It will engage but easy out. I must try 2-4 time to before it work fine( I engage it, it out, then I engage again and it out again...., repaet this 2-4 times befor it work fine).

I will change the trany fluid this weekend.

Thanks.
