'96 960 sedan upholstery question 900 1996

The fabric that covers the plastic trim on the right rear (? "c") pillar, in the area at the rear of the triangle glass, has come loose. It's only loose at the edge now, but I don't want it to come completely off. I'm sure applying adhesive won't work due to the bits of foam backing on the fabric and trim. Stuffing it back in with my fingers doesn't work, it comes right back out. The plastic's too tough to get a thumbtack through. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.
