Rough idle with AC on and in gear for 10 seconds after stopping 700 1992

Idle drops just below 500 and becomes very rough for about 10 seconds and then raises to about 600 or so. This only happens with the AC on and the car in gear and stopped. So it usually happens at a stop light or sign, but it will happen in the driveway if you hold the break and put it in gear.

If you turn off the AC or put the transmission in N or P, the idle immediately jumps above 700 and smooths out.

All this is completely repeatable; it happens every single time.


I recently had the throttle body and injectors cleaned. That helped the overall performance, but did not address this issue.
