84 dl idles bad when cold no rev when hot 200 1984

just bought an 1984 volvo dl believe it to be a 240 but not sure has a four cycl
engine. the car has set for about four years the engine idles up and down when cold then smooths out when warm it also takes gas good when cold but will not rev when warm or reves very slow. have changed the fuel filter and did a full tune up fuel pressure is good have replaced all the vacumn lines do not know the history on this car but would love to get it fixed only has 78000 actual miles and got it for $700.00 can you guys help
