68 145S new to me, southwest colorado 140-160 1968

Hey y'all!

I just picked up this 68 145S. It has the 4sp and the B18B dual SU carbs. It's painted an..interesting green (by hand) which will be quickly fixed. Just ordered a slew of parts from IPD..hot wires, mann filter ($5!), gas filter, engine mounts and tranny mount (the engine vibrates BAD..the mounts aren't completely gone but they are bulged out some), NGK plugs..waiting on getting a new cap and points because I'm not sure which it takes yet. I think a pertronix conversion will be high on the list.

Popped down do my local junkyard and they have a 1969 144 with 4 *perfect* doors, the side trim I need (mines missing in the rear) perfect bumper for the front. The doors even have mint panels inside. I can get all that for $100 whenever I want.

hope these pix work, this board software is..unique. Best of all: it has 343,416 miles on it. :D

I'm near Durango, Colorado if anyone is close, gimmie a heads up.

very quickly, I want to delete the original generator (it's been replaced recently) and put in a Delco-remy. Despite sitting for 2 years, it started first try and sounded strong. PO says it bogs bad on the hills, I figure the SU carbs may need some attention, plus the gas drained and filters changed. I'll be driving it about 5 miles to where I'll be able to give it a quick tune up and attempt the 50 mile (mostly downhill) ride home.

What do you guys like to run for oil in these?
