Center Armrest on a 1988 240 200 1988

So i bought center armrests off ebay, thinking they would fit on my 1988 240. Turns out, the armrests were made for the earlier 240's where the seat belts buckled into the parking brake center. Will the armrest fit on my 1988? or should i just turn around and sell it?
