My sister's 240 has a strong gas smell and leaks a little after filling up. I've already checked the common suspects like the fuel sending unit, overflow hoses and gas cap. The fill pipe also seems good. The leaking could be around the area around where the rubber accordian hose connects the metal fill pipe to the tank. I did some searching but didn't any common failure in this area. I'm going to put it on the lift and look closer but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. The tank doesn't appear rusty but I guess its possible that a hole might have formed on the top of the tank where there is less undercoating.
