rubber hose in sump 900 1995

Just got finished dropping the pan on my 95 940 . There is a hose that I believe is attached to the oil separator in the sump that is still attached but has a slit in it about 3 inches from the top. Do I replace it or let it go.Thanks for your time and considerations. Joe S
