The composite headlamps on my 240 have become hazy both outside and inside. The passengers side is getting condensation in it also. It probably isn't air tight anymore. Is it possible take apart or remove the front part of the lens to clean it and rub out the haze? What would be required to polish the lens until it's completly clear.
I used rubbing compound on my tail lamps a few years ago because they had turned a dull brown/grey color. They looked red for a while. I rubbed one of them out again this summer and sprayed clear acrylic over it to keep it from fading. It didn't work very long. What is a good product that doesn't cost a fortune to fix my lenses? I really don't want to buy new headlamps or tail lamps for just cosmetic reasons. If that's the case, I would rather swap to a 1970's era single round headlamps with glass bulbs. All I need is the lamp buckets, mounting panel and bezels.
