Turbo Cooler Coolant Hoses 900 1994

I replaced the Turbo Cooler hoses years ago. I am going to replace these tomorrow when I change my coolant. When I replaced them previously, I remember that there was a post or a section in the manual that said I needed to push the hose so that the end of the hose bulged before tightening the clamp. Does anyone know where this reference is? I looked in the FAQs and the manual and can't seem to find it. I'll look through the manuals again but if anyone has a pointer, I'd appreciate it.
