which grounding point to use? 444-544 1964

Am in the process of combining two 544's one is a 1962 and one is a 1964. One has the battery ground connected to the engine block, the other has the negative terminal of the batter connected to the grounding bolt on the fire wall.
Should I only use one, if so which one?
OR should I run a ground connection from the battery to Both?

It seems to me like it would be "belt and suspenders" but no damage to run wire to both points.

Comments? Suggestions?
