1991 Volvo 740 Turbo Sedan Starting Problem 700 1991

Hey,
I just got a '91 740 turbo from my dad. The car is up to date on all its service checks. If I drive the car and turn off the engine and pick up lunch and come back in a short time ( 5-50 minutes), the car won't start. I hear the ignition, but the engine doesn't turn over or start up. But if I like drive to school and drive back in the afternoon, the car starts no problems. It is only for short periods of times the engine is stopped. Does anyone have any ideas as to why and how I should go about fixing it ? I am not too experience with cars. THanks
