Rust in 740 Turbo 700

Hi All,

Just bought a 740 turbo. Geez, what a nice car. Anyway, I noticed where the frame and the wheelwell joins on the passenger side is rusted through. Its just a small crack now, but I can see it will grow. It seems to be caused by a faulty cowl (which I have to fix). Is this a major problem?
