Knock sensor codes 700

I've had two OBD code 1-4-3 (Knock sensor) thrown in the last month.
They reset OK. The engine isn't knocking.

I looked around the brickboard discussions about the knock sensor throwing
random codes and many point to the ECU and maybe dirty contacts.

Is it possible that the knock sensor can fire when crashing into potholes
enough to set the 1-4-3 code?
